How can you support breastfeeding?
I’ll add to this page as I come across new links or think of things to say!
I thought this was excellent, intended for grandparents but still full of useful information for anybody with a breastfeeding mum in their lives: http://www.wiltshirepct.nhs.uk/MaternityServices/MaternityLeaflets/27_Breastfeeding%20information%20leaflet%20for%20Grandparents.pdf
That’s it for now, but feel free to leave comments on things you found useful when you had a breastfed newborn. One thing I would say is “Don’t go to a new mum’s house and expect to be waited on” – but that does apply whether they’re breastfeeding or not!
*Edited* Here’s another excellent leaflet – again aimed at grandparents: http://www.cddft.nhs.uk/NR/rdonlyres/17B0F870-8BF4-41C2-AE8C-15AC24E843DA/0/Grandparents.pdf
Hmm, what a shame – both of those links have been removed, but here is another really good page which will hopefully stay put! http://www.plymouth-latchon.org.uk/grandparents.html
And another one from Wiltshire again, though not quite as specific to grandparents as the first: http://www.wiltshire.nhs.uk/Downloads/Maternity/Leaflets/Breastfeeding.pdf
Stumble It!
